Thanks to a sponsor, we were able to start expanding the existing well. At the existing well, water is drawn by hand. With more students and the growing of fruit and vegetables, the need for water has increased and the current system is not sufficient. The idea is to use a pump to pump the water to several distribution points where there will be a large water tank to store the water. The initial construction is in progress. It will also remain possible for villagers to come and collect water for a small fee.

We then continued to focus on this this year and were able to install a water tank for storage, a pump and solar panels for electricity, so that there is now running water through a number of taps for the kitchen and vegetable garden, among other things. We were also able to buy two more water tanks and roof gutters were constructed at the roofs of the school so that water can be collected during the rainy season. This way, we can also supply the school with water in the drier times.

A 'night watchman's house' has also been built. This is at the school's entrance gate so that the day/night watchman can monitor who comes and goes. They also keep an eye on whether and who comes to fetch water.
